From Safety Innovation to Future Mobility: An Industry Perspective
Magna is one of the world's largest automotive suppliers, developing technologies and systems for vehicle safety, driver assistance, automation, electrification, and mobility. Through collaborations with vehicle manufacturers around the globe, Magna plays a key role in bringing new safety innovations from research and development into real-world applications.
In this seminar, Fredrik Beckman, Architect Technology & Strategy and Safety Expert at Magna, will share perspectives on current developments in vehicle safety and the challenges facing the automotive industry. Drawing on experience from both strategic technology development and safety engineering, he will discuss how emerging technologies are shaping the future of mobility and what is required to ensure that innovation translates into meaningful safety benefits.
The seminar will provide valuable insights into industry priorities, technology trends, and the evolving role of safety in increasingly connected, automated, and software-defined vehicles.

SAFER Thursday lunch seminars are held both at the SAFER office, Lindholmen Innovation District, building Kuggen, Lindholmsplatsen 1 or online (Teams).

- In-person attendance: Lunch will be provided at the SAFER office, starting at 11:30 AM. The seminar will then be held in a hybrid format from 12:00 to 12:45 PM. Registration is required for lunch. Please register for lunch by 12:00 PM on the Tuesday before the seminar.
- Online attendance: No registration is needed. Simply join via the Microsoft Teams link sent to all SAFER partners ahead of the event. The seminar is held in a hybrid format from 12:00 to 12:45 PM.
