Welcome to the 4th International Conference on Driver Distraction and Inattention (DDI2015), which will feature keynote speakers, plenary sessions, and presentations on theory, measurement, effects, crash risk and prevention/mitigation. The conference includes special symposia on current research and mitigation challenges, and brings together basic and applied research, the latest policy developments, priorities for research and countermeasure development - and more!

This year the conference is being held in Sydney, Australia. It is the first time the conference has been held outside Europe, and promises to attract a wider audience from the Asia/Pacific region. The major themes for the conference this year will include distraction and the automated vehicle, and the relationship between research findings yielded in experimental versus real world studies. Hosts are SAFER and ARRB.

We welcome you to Australia and to this important international road safety event!
