SAFER Seminar: Design of a pop-up obstacle for autonomous vehicle testing
Welcome to a SAFER seminar where our visitors from Stanford University, USA, Avinash Balachandran and Joe Funke, members of Professor Chris Gerdes research group, will discuss the design of a pop-up obstacle that they built for autonomous and semi-autonomous vehicle testing. Each will then give an overview of their respective research projects enabled by the device. Avinash Balachandran will discuss haptic feedback design for semi-autonomous, or 'active-steering', vehicle obstacle avoidance systems. Joe Funke will talk about obstacle avoidance for fully autonomous vehicles.
The seminar is free of charge and Swedish “kanelbullar” (cinnamon buns) will be served.
