Advanced Driver Assistance Systems - From ADAS to Driverless

June 17-19, 2015, Chengdu, China

At present, ADAS systems like Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), and so on are rapidly popularizing. The large-scale penetration of ADAS in China depends on maturity of technologies, cost reduction and its adaptation to Chinese driver behavior and traffic situation as well as future legislations and standards.

ADAS and V2X collaboration could significantly avoid traffic accidents, improve traffic efficiency and reduce fuel consumption and emissions. V2X will take ADAS to the next level. At the same time, as the ultimate goal of ADAS, automated vehicle has attracted the world-wide attention. The concept of automotive transportation system will usher in transformation. With emerging of automated vehicles, traffic rules and infrastructure will take a dramatic change.

Then, what are the new technology trends for ADAS systems? What are the latest innovative products and R&D technologies? How are the relevant legislations and standards being developed? What are the strategies of car manufacturers for ADAS in China market? How can V2X communications strengthen the functionalities of ADAS? How can ADAS develop from primary stage to ultimate driverless stage? How can China formulate development strategy and technology roadmap? What kind of common research projects (e.g. FOT) need to be carried out and how should the relevant parties cooperate with each other? The forum will cover the current ADAS technology and strategic issues, and the future of ADAS—the role of its collaboration with V2X and automated vehicles.
