SAFER Seminar: Hazard classification according to ISO 26262

The SAFER project Hazard Classification (www.chalmers.se/safer/EN/projects/pre-crash-safety/pre-studies/hazard-classification) is related to hazard classification according to ISO 26262. ISO 26262 is a standard to avoid electrical malfunctions causing vehicle accidents. Focus of ISO 26262 is all safety related functionality in road vehicles, including both active and passive safety functions and most vehicle dynamic functionality. The standard is currently being used in the passenger car industry and will be used for trucks and buses from around 2018. It is a standard that significantly impact the way we develop our vehicle functionality.

To share the knowledge between ISO 26262 experts, SAFER experts and engineers working in related areas within the road vehicle industry, we are inviting you to an open seminar on August 29th.
 
The seminar will have two parts with a lunch break in between:
-    09:00 – 11:00 Introduction to ISO 26262 and experiences from Volvo Cars. Presentations by ISO 26262 experts.
-    11:00 – 12:00 Lunch break (individual)
-    12:00 – 15:30 Overview of related research areas such as how drivers behave is accidents and resulting injuries from accidents. Presentations by SAFER experts.
 
The seminar will take place in Volvo Group’s office M1 on Lindholmen, Gothenburg.

All registered participants will receive a meeting invitation with the detailed agenda a couple of weeks prior to the seminar. It is of course possible to participate on parts of the day, just note this in the registration.
