Active Converter Dolly testing

High Capacity Transports (HCT, longer and/or heavier truck combinations) are more transport efficient and environment friendly. There are many projects on-going to facilitate the introduction of such. The performance of HCTs has to be on the same level as the allowed vehicle combination on today´s road networks. Active motion control of the other units than of the towing vehicle is an enabler for better performance. An actively controlled converter dolly has been built and the control functionality has been developed. To verify the dolly and its functionality, funding is hereby applied for tests at test track AstaZero.
