Project

Blood serum analysis for whiplash injury diagnosis – experimental pilot study

Period
1 January 2016–31 March 2017
Project manager
Mats Svensson

In this study we investigate if blood serum analysis will reveal traces of neuro filament in pigs that have been exposed to whiplash trauma to the neck. Positive findings would indicate nerve tissue injury and a potential relation to neurological symptoms seen in patients. This analysis technique could in that case be developed into a part of the diagnosis of whiplash injury.
