Computerized Clinical Decision Support
Step 1: Computerized Clinical Decision Support To Improve Trauma Triage and Risk Assessment: A Low fidelity OSISP prototype
The first step of the project aim was to design a low-fidelity prototype of a clinical decision support system utilizing an on-scene injury severity algorithm theoretically defined in a previous SAFER project. The prototype should be designed for use in real ambulance settings and fit into the ordinary workflow, and consist of a smartphone app and a supporting cloud-based IT infrastructure.
Step 2 (Master thesis: Ion Olaetxea Azkarate-Askatsua): Computerized Clinical Decision Support to Improve the Trauma Care Process: High Fidelity On-Scene Injury Severity Prediction Prototype
The second step of the project aim was to design a complete workable solution for the solution proposed in step 1. The solution should be able to introduce in real ambulances in real accident situations with the purpose of gathering data for research and evaluation of the proposed OSISP algorithm. The solution utilized a smartphone app and data upload facilities to a cloud based infrastructure.
