Full title: Design and Deployment of a Control Center for Remote Automated Vehicles Management

The goal of this project is to focus on design and deployment of a remote operation center (RoC), as we see that RoC is a crucial part that will enable large-scale deployment of automated vehicles with remote support. The project tackles different challenges, e.g., RoC design and development, system architecture, human-machine interaction concepts, definition of roles and tasks of remote operators, regulatory and certification framework for deployment, and wireless communication network.

This project is a continuation of the REDO2 project.

Traffic safety benefit: Developing a remote operation centre can help the remote operator to provide better remote support to connected automated vehicles, and thus this will improve safety when such vehicles are operated on public roads.

Key words: Remote operations; remote operation center; remote management
