Project

Physical Layer Techniques for Vehicle-to-Vehicle Communications

Period
1 April 2011–1 April 2016
Project manager
Erik Ström

This project aims at building world-class competence in critical areas of vehicle-to-vehicle communications. We intend to attack several open, fundamental research questions in channel characterization and modeling (the nature of vehicle-to-vehicle [V2V] radio channels is not well understood at this time); estimation and synchronization (techniques to acquire necessary information at the receiver to enable data decoding); and coding and modulation (techniques to represent and protect data for transmission over V2V channels).
