Project

PreACT is short for Pre Automotive Cooperative Technologies, where “Pre” hints that this is a preproject for a larger project to be applied for in the future. In this pre-project we perform an inventory of state of the art in car to car communications of today and tomorrow. The goal is to get an overall view of the practical performance of the candidates for communication system and compare the performance with the requirements of possible future vehicle communications. The comparison should be nuanced and independent in its way of describing what vehicle communication systems can offer, the value of such systems, and finally suggest architecture suitable for different applications. The project will also be a foundation for a future application of a main project.
