Full Title: Risk Analysis as a Method to measure Consequences for not investing in Traffic Safety

Swedish Title: RIskanalyssomMetod att mäta KOnsekvenser av inte arbeta med Trafiksäkerhet

By applying established risk management frameworks and methods, project RIMKOT shall identify organizational risks and consequences for not investing in traffic safety initiatives. The analysis shall focus on risk mitigation measures. Relevant mitigation measures, whose effects on risk reduction are clearly measurable, will be presented as key outcomes. The methodology will be presented in a simple and inspiring guide grounded in systematic scientific methods, tailored for use by corporate boardrooms and decision-makers in public sector. This constitutes the deliverable of the study.

Traffic safety benefit: The key outcomes from the project RIMKOT include clear identification of risks,  consequences and mitigation measures in the field of organizational traffic safety.  The  systematic scientific method embedded in critical thinking  and risk management shall  benefit policy makers in public and private sectors by consolidating overall risk awareness and understanding of how to integrate organizational  traffic safety in policy and action.  Thereby help them by translating the risk mitigation measures into organizational traffic  safety actions that are measurable.
