Project

Sleep EYE II

Period
1 October 2011-31 December 2012
Project manager
John-Fredrik Grönvall

Sleep Eye II is meant to link eye tracking related research questions in simulator, field tests and Field Operation Tests (FOT). It is a continuation of Sleep Eye I where, in conjunction with EuroFOT, cost effective eye trackers were developed and validated against a three camera system with regards to drowsy drivers in field tests. Also drowsiness based on simulator data was identified. In SleepEYE II the data from simulator and field test will be used for validation of simulator data and the thresholds based on SleepEYE I simulator data will be used on EuroFOT data. Moreover, improvements will be done on the eye tracker with regards to lessons learned from SleepEye I and EuroFOT for cars.
