Speed Reducing Measures On Rural Roads
Swedish title: Utformning av hastighetssäkrade åtgärder på landsbygd
This project is about gaining a better understanding of how the design of speed-reducing measures on rural roads affects their effectiveness. The project builds upon the previous project, "Evaluation of Speed-Reducing Measures on Rural Roads," in which 34 different such measures were studied. The aim of this project is to investigate in more detail why certain designs perform better than others and what is important to consider when designing these measures. The analysis will encompass various aspects, including traffic engineering factors such as road radius, width, and speed limits, as well as psychological factors that focus on how the location is perceived.
