VIA TAXI

Period

Abstract: By collecting and analyzing real-time traffic safety data from sources like taxis, e-scooters, and e-mopeds, VIA-Taxi creates a comprehensive view of traffic conditions. This data helps prevent accidents by analyzing "near-misses" and sub-optimal driving behavior, enhancing the understanding of traffic issues.

Using ZeZo-score technology, the project provides safety assessments directly from Cabonline's fleet (a Taxi company operating in Gothenburg), based on real-time data. The combined data sources from the sister project ViaSafety enable a layered analysis of urban environments, identifying risk zones and unsafe behaviors. The project connects data from at least 50 taxis with e-scooter and e-moped data, combines aggregated and specific data for refined risk analysis, tracks behavior changes in drivers, and develops scalable models for traffic safety data management, benefiting cities and authorities.

Traffic safety benefit: This project enhances traffic safety by collecting and analyzing real-time data from taxis, e-scooters, and e-mopeds. This comprehensive, layered analysis improves traffic safety understanding, helps prevent accidents, and provides valuable insights for cities and authorities to develop better traffic management and safety measures.
