This SAFER prestudy has the target to establish a cross competence areas cooperation for classification of hazardous events according to the automotive functional safety standard ISO 26262. Key aspects are functional safety, bio-mechanics, driver behavior, and field data. Currently the ISO 26262 standard is used in the passenger car industry and in the near future it will be used also by the bus and truck industry. The results of the pre-study includes detailed work on hazard classification parameters.
